We Value Patient Engagement In Research

The best research efforts involve patients, their families, and other community stakeholders.

By collaborating with REACHnet as a researcher, patient adviser, or a member of the Health in Our Hands Network , you have the power to to ensure that the needs, perspectives, and lived experiences of patients and families are included at every step in the research process – from asking the question, to finding the answer.

  • As an Adaptor, I provide suggestions on word choices and changes to help clarify the intended message and spark interest by the patient audience. My goal is to make sure the information that a potential participant receives is easy to read, straight forward, and inviting.

    - Ken Gregoire, Adaptor for the ADAPTABLE Study
  • Because REACHnet is able to leverage technology to systematically manage data and recruit patients, we will be able to reduce the cost of doing research to the point whereby that savings can actually be allocated to doing additional science.

    - Dr. Thomas Carton, REACHnet Principal Investigator and Director of Health Services Research at the Louisiana Public Health Institute.
